Nike Vomero 17 underwent a complete redesign, both the upper and midsole have been changed.

The Zoom Air has been removed from the midsole and has been replaced with a top layer Zoom X and a base layer of cushlon 3.0.
The choice of cushlon as a base layer foam makes it a little more firm, thus less bouncy in comparison if they would have gone with a full Zoom X midsole.

The stack height looks to be around 39,5mm in the heel and 29,5mm in the forefoot, resulting in a 10mm drop.
The actual stack height in the forefoot and heel hasn’t been confirmed yet, it could still be a bit different than expected, but the drop is 10mm.

The outsole covers almost the entire shoe, promising a good durability.
One review already stated that at first it was a bit slippery on the road, but the second run it was better.

The upper gave an impression to a couple of people of being thick, perhaps it’s meant for running on those colder days?
The Nike Vomero does seem to be true to size for the lucky few that already had the chance to try them out before the release.

There is a sufficient amount of padding present around the heel area, giving a good amount of stability.
The tongue is well padded, perhaps with that amount of padding and then the denseness of the upper itself is what making it less breathable?

Let’s wait and see… Release is expected in October!

There have already been 8 colour ways pictures being leaked, but it’s yet unclear how many colour ways there will be available for both men and women.

Retail price is expected to be around 170€/145£/160$
