My FIRST UTMB World Series event – Ultra training EP11

Episode 11 of my 10 weeks ultra training.

This was both a training session and a race! I participated for the first time in a UTMB World Series event.

This event took place in France.
We started in Barr and ended in Obernai.
In total we needed to complete a course of just under 34 kilometers with an elevation of 1300 meters!

To give you an idea, we already needed to clime more than 600 meters in the first 8 kilometers.
Well i underestimated that because my heart rate blew up.

This was a very good training session since it gave a lot more insights into the things where i need to further improve for future events.
Especially since the temperatures are going up, hydration will be one of the most important points…

And also i need to train more elevation, there were some very steep uphill climbs that i’ve never done before.
It’s also a bit difficult to do this when you are living in the center of Belgium, will need to find a solution for that…

As previously mentioned, i share additional information either in the description of my videos, through shorts or on Instagram.
