Full week recap of my training for the Amsterdam marathon including all the ups and downs I have encountered
The first week of my training for the Amsterdam marathon has been completed and it was a very good week if it say so myself!
On July 29th i participated in the event Marathon du grand ballon, after already 5km I twisted my ankle but I continued up until 53Km!
I Participated on July 7th in my second UTMB world series event.
This time i participated in the UTMB Verbier Marathon in the Swiss Alps!
The race was 42Km with 3000 meters of elevation.
If you are following the channel, you know that on June 10th i participated in the event “The longest day” in Spa, Belgium.
This event was advertised as being a 50K Ultra.
But in the end when i reached the finish line, the total distance was ONLY 48,7Km.

This is the highlight of my 10 weeks of training.

In the end it turned out to be a bit different.

As you could see in the previous video, i need to improve in running uphill and also get better in running in warmer temperatures.
This will be the red line throughout the next 2 weeks in preparation for my first 50K Ultra on June 10th.

This was both a training session and a race! I participated for the first time in a UTMB World Series event.

In this video the plan was to take you along my long run which was also going to serve as my elevation workout session.
The run was supposed to be 2h30 minutes with an elevation of +500 meters.
This did not go completely as planned…
